Why Experience in Law Enforcement Matters for County Leadership
In my 25 years with the LAPD, I learned that effective leadership isn't about seeking the spotlight—it's about making sound decisions under pressure, managing resources responsibly, and always putting the community first.
As a Lieutenant II commanding over 350 officers, I dealt with budgets, personnel challenges, and complex operational decisions daily. I learned to analyze problems from every angle, build consensus among diverse stakeholders, and implement solutions that worked for everyone.
That same approach is exactly what Williamson County needs. Our county is growing rapidly, and we need leaders who can manage that growth intelligently—not just approve every development that comes before the commission. We need someone who understands how to balance public safety needs, infrastructure demands, and fiscal responsibility.
My law enforcement background also taught me the importance of accountability and transparency. Every decision I made could be scrutinized, and rightfully so. As your County Commissioner, I'll bring that same level of accountability to District 11, ensuring that every vote I cast and every decision I make can stand up to public review.
The challenges we face—traffic congestion, school overcrowding, and maintaining our quality of life—require proven leadership. They require someone who's managed complex organizations, solved real problems, and put service above politics. That's the leadership I'm offering Williamson County.
