Managing Growth Without Losing What Makes Williamson County Special

Williamson County is at a crossroads. We're one of the fastest-growing counties in America, which brings tremendous economic opportunity—but also significant challenges that require careful planning and decisive leadership.

I've seen firsthand what happens when growth outpaces infrastructure. During my time as a Planning Commissioner for 8 years, I learned that responsible growth isn't about saying "no" to everything—it's about saying "yes" with conditions that protect our community.

Here's what responsible growth looks like:

  • Infrastructure first: Before approving major developments, we must ensure our roads, water systems, and utilities can handle the increased demand. Traffic congestion isn't just an inconvenience—it impacts emergency response times and quality of life.

  • School capacity planning: Our schools are among the best in the nation, but they're under pressure. Every new development must account for its impact on classroom sizes and school resources.

  • Preserving community character: Growth shouldn't mean sacrificing the small-town feel and natural beauty that drew us here in the first place.

My experience writing over $100 million in grants taught me how to leverage outside funding to improve infrastructure without overburdening taxpayers. As your Commissioner, I'll work to secure state and federal resources to support responsible development that benefits existing residents, not just developers.

We can embrace growth while protecting what makes Williamson County exceptional—but it requires leadership with both vision and experience. That's what I'm bringing to this race
